I ordered the Friday lunch special fried flounder and baby shrimp, baked potato, coleslaw, and hush puppies for 9. It was amazing. Service was excellent. Overall blown away at the value. Looks like the place was recently renovated, parking lot, exterior and interior of the building. Nothing fancy, but solid good fried seafood with lots other choices grilled, blackened, burgers, etc.

My favorite place to eat. Always very pleasant there. Family owned..Food is consistent every time with great portions on plate. Employees are extremely nice . Prices are good. I go every week if possible. Always wonderful. Best fish around Irmo!!!

I ordered Cod and Flounder. It was delicious . Also tried the shrimp and grits. All were cooked to perfection and delivered to the table steaming hot. I don't understand some of the bad comments. Could the decor be upgraded -- yes. But it has a charm of it own. And the most important ingredients ( great service and the best fresh seafood dishes ). I deem it a must visit. Never have I had such great southern seafood dishes for so little . A new favorite. 2nd and 3rd trip here were just as wonderful. And yes, I will be back. Back again -- still great.

This place is very underrated and I love the old decor in here and the old love songs from the 70s. It's a definite throwback in time to when I was a little kid back in my home area. The food is really good and for the price point it cannot be beat at all. I had a po boy with lettuce and tomato and onion and good considering it didn't come with po boy sauce. A baked potato was an option as well which usually nicer restaurants offer but they offer it in this nice local restaurant. What id worry about if I was a local ..although I used to live in this neighborhood. Is that if they ever close, nothing like it will go in its place. It will either be empty and barren or some high end yuppie restaurant would replace it. My bet goes to #1 in this area. Very good portions for the .

The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious! The prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. My grandmother and I love it here!

Golden Bay is a hidden gem in the Columbia area! I am always recommending this restaurant to my church group and neighbors. Anytime my family and I stop by we are greeted with smiles and superb service with the food served hot and fresh. I see that some individuals complain about the prices but all you have to do is look up their competitor's to see they have the best prices AND portions in town. If you support this business you support a local and family-owned businesses knowing your money spent stays within the community. My favorite dish is the Broiled Golden Platter with a fresh baked potato -- my dish also includes a yummy coleslaw and of course hushpuppies!!

Very clean and organized restaurant. Service was quick and server was friendly and courteous. Food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. The flounder was mouth watering good. They have a nice menu with plenty to choose from. And the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is decorated nicely throughout. Great job folk's!
